Art Director – Print Magazines & Editorial Design Magazin Life, Anadolu Aktüel, Ankara Ses Ankara, Turkey | 1-year full collaboration As Art Director, I pioneered the visual direction and complete design execution for three key Turkish print titles over a demanding a year period: monthly Magazin Life (premium lifestyle & entertainment), monthly Anadolu Aktüel (culture, current affairs & features), and bimonthly Ankara Ses (arts, society & local narratives). Delivered 60–100+ page issues end-to-end—covers, layouts, photo spreads, typography hierarchies, and brand-aligned aesthetics that consistently elevated each publication's identity and reader engagement. Scope included high-impact photo retouching, custom posters, in-magazine advertisements, sponsored integrations, and promotional assets. I also earned credit for one issue of Route magazine, designing it entirely in InDesign to seamlessly cover for the lead designer. Pioneered a fully hybrid, mobile-first workflow that gave the team unmatched flexibility—working across devices and locations with zero drop in quality or speed. This approach was highly valued for enabling rapid iteration, tight deadline mastery, and consistent delivery under real print production pressures. Core skills strengthened: advanced editorial grids, print color precision, pre-press optimization, high-volume asset management, and expert fusion of photography + graphic design to craft compelling, story-driven visuals.
